Started reading Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris. All the vampire books have the word Dead on the title...eh. After watching True Blood I was intrigued to read the series...although the tv differs from the books a little bit.

One Week Later...

I'm still reading the Mysteries of Udolpho and just got to the part where they mention Udolpho. Been busy with other stuff so I've only read 1-2 chapters a night. eh. I like Romance of the Forest better.

I've also been watching old telenovelas. La Usurpadora...I want to make an english version of this! Although America probably wouldn't watch it haha. So I say BBC. haha.

Done with the semester...so now summer break : )

Brought many a good things. For some reason reading Austen has helped balance mon vie un petite. Though a couple days ago I had to deal with high school jazz...glad I don't have to deal with that on a day to day basis.

I was surprised by how many people wished me a happy birthday even if it was just because they saw it was my birthday. It was nice. So much has changed in one year. This is the second year in a row where things have gotten better than the previous year. 2008 was eww to summarize it. 2009 was all about enlightment. I can go into detail but I have already in my head and on some journal entry. I thought I needed people in my life but I don't which made me see how many good people are around me. If people don't like you oh well...if I don't like someone oh well...move on.

Anyhoo, I am almost done with Pride and Prejudice. I swear I re-read every page twice. The story is oh so wonderfully intense. Not going to lie...I do think of Colin Firth when Darcy says something.

I don't know which book to read next...should I read Jane Eyre or start Shakespeare? I also have Ann Radcliffe.

Pride and Prejudice

Starting Pride and Prejudice today. So in a way I did get Darcy for my birthday tomorrow. haha kidding. Mansfield Park was alright but I'm glad I can now start P&P. After I finish reading it I am going to watch the film...the Colin Firth one not the horrible 2005 version. Anyhoo. Happy Times! : )

Jane Eyre

So...I watched this today. Pretty great. Its like 4hours long but oh man. Lovely. Its close to the book but you know...screenwriter has to put in their own take on some parts. Toby Stephens...yum. He's Dame Maggie Smith's kid...what the what! yeah I know.

Mansfield Park

Not my favorite novel. Also not a fan of the film adaptations. Eh. Maybe this time around I'll fall in love with it. I'm 1/4 into it...so far...eh.
